HOW IS ONE SAVED?
"So faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ." (Romans 10:17)
HOW DOES ONE GROW?
"Therefore we must pay much closer attention to what we have heard, lest we drift away from it." (Hebrews 2:1)
HOW DOES ONE FINISH STRONG?
"For as the rain and the snow come down from heaven and do not return there but water the earth, making it bring forth and sprout, giving seed to the sower and bread to the eater, so shall my word be that goes out from my mouth; it shall not return to me empty, but it shall accomplish that which I purpose, and shall succeed in the thing for which I sent it." (Isaiah 55:10–11)
The Word of God in the Old and New Testaments is the most important means God has given to his church. In his Word, God reveals himself and his will for our salvation through Jesus Christ. The Word is central to the church and it principally teaches us what we are to believe concerning God and what duty God requires of us.
Prayer is another vital means God has given to his people. It is through prayer that we bring the promises of God back to God and align our wills with God's will. We are taught in the Word that prayer isn't only a private exercise, but that we are to pray with and for one another.
