THE CHURCH
We believe the church is central to God's plan for Christian growth in grace and his purpose for his people. God has entrusted the church with his means of grace (Word, sacrament, and prayer) to save sinners, build up the faithful, and produce fruit in the lives of his people.
THE WORD
The Word of God in the Old and New Testaments is the most important means God has given to his church. In his Word, God reveals himself and his will for our salvation through Jesus Christ. The Word is central to the church and it principally teaches us what we are to believe concerning God and what duty God requires of us.
PRAYER
Prayer is another vital means God has given to his people. It is through prayer that we bring the promises of God back to God and align our wills with God's will. We are taught in the Word that prayer isn't only a private exercise, but that we are to pray with and for one another.
THE SACRAMENTS
In his grace, God has also given us his sacraments of baptism and the Lord's Supper. Both of these sacraments serve as signs and seals of God's grace to us. Through the sacraments God assures us of the promises of the Gospel and the saving work of Jesus Christ.
