Troop FL-1138

Building Christ-like character through outdoor and life skills

What is Trail Life?

Trail Life is a biblically based program for boys that focuses on cultivating Christ-like character through the means of teaching outdoor and life skills.

When does Troop FL-1138 Meet?

Our weekly meetings are every Wednesday from 6:30 to 8:00pm at Providence Presbyterian Church.

How Much Does it Cost?

We seek to keep the cost of Trail Life to a minimum. There are three areas of expenses: (1) Registration fees paid directly to the Trail Life organization. (2) Material fees to purchase Trail Life uniform and manuals. And (3) Troop fees to cover monthly outings and equipment.

How Can I Join the Trail?

You can register your son through www.TrailLifeConnect.com. If you would like to visit our weekly meetings before registering, please contact TrailLife1138@gmail.com for more information.

Troop Number

Our troop number is FL-1138, taken from Hebrews 11:38: "Of whom the world was not worthy." It's our aim to use Trail Life as a ministry to raise boys of faith to be men of faith.

Woodlands Trail

Woodlands Trail program is for boys in grades K through 5. The Woodlands Trail program focuses on teaching knowledge in seven different branches of study, preparing boys for the later years of Trail Life. Woodlands Trail is divided into three age groups: (1) Foxes [K-G1], (2) Hawk [G2–G3], and (3) Mountain Lion [G4–G5].

Navigators

The Navigators program is for boys in grades 6 through 8. The focus on the Navigators is on wisdom through experience. Boys in the Navigators program will learn many hands on life and outdoor skills, experience leadership roles, and work on earning badges in different fields of study. As boys earn more badges they work their way through three ranks: (1) Recruit, (2) Able, and (3) Ready Trailman.

Adventurers

The Adventurers Program is for young men in grades 9 through 12. The focus of the Adventurers Program is a more thorough and in-depth knowledge of life and outdoor skills. Young men will continue to learn and develop Christ-like leadership skills through earning more badges. They too work through three different ranks: (1) Journey, (2) Horizon, and (3) Freedom. NOTE: At this time we do not offer the Adventurer Program, but hope to in the very near future.
